Yoga

I believe that awareness is not just to know about the worldly affairs but what you do with your body. The food you consume, the self-talk you do, the thoughts you think, the emotions you feel and how well you physically keep yourself. Yog is one such thing that connects us with ourselves, it is by definition the union. Now, you see people doing various asana/postures to keep all the parts of their bodies fit but Yog is not just that, it is Pranayama, Shatkarma, Dhyan, Bandh, Mudra  it is a blend of all these forms that gives your life a healthy meaning. I see most of the people are not aware of what they are feeding their bodies but with Yog you can have the awareness to know yourself the best. The better connection you have with yourself, the better you can connect on the outside. The better you can learn how to be attached but detached, the art of balancing. With this in mind I Rhythm Kanwar aim to teach Hatha Yoga and impart the knowledge I have through my Yog sessions. Think healthy, Think best.

Why Yoga Is Important -

1. Ceasing Mind Fluctuations

Yoga is stilling the endless flow of thoughts in mind (Chitta Vritti Nirodhah). While living a modern life, your brain is constantly engaged in endless thoughts and never rests in tranquility. As a result, you lack focus, skill and vitality. The yoga calms the brain and enhances its vital functioning. This makes it the most effective and important practice to adopt in modern times. The techniques of pranayama involve taking deep breaths that nourish the brain and meditation involves focusing on the breath that fosters inner connection and peace.

2. Heightened Concentration

The improved concentration is one of the many benefits of a calm mind. The survivors of modern life know the importance of concentration because they often find themselves juggling with numerous tasks. Meditation is one potent practice for sharpening the focus. In meditation, you bring your attention either to the breath, mantra, or any visual every time your mind wanders. This effort to maintain the focus results in heightened concentration. Also, while practicing the yoga postures, you keep your Drishti fixed at a point that cultivates single-pointed focus. With greater awareness, you remain in the present moment as well as you perform tasks mindfully.

3. Strength & Flexibility

The sedentary lifestyle is the begetting of many physical health problems like limited flexibility, low strength, poor posture, stiffness, and many more. The performance of yoga asanas encourage body movement in different directions assisting in opening that reduces stiffness, increases joint mobility, and releases pent-up emotions leading to strength and flexibility.

4. Healthy Internal Organs

Owing to improper breathing and eating, your internal organs suffer a lot. When you are internally unhealthy, there’s no way you can feel healthy outside. The science of yoga incorporates the wisdom of healthy eating and proper breathing allowing you to take care of your vital organs in a healthier manner. With healthy lungs and stomach, you can to a greater extent lead a life of wellness. In Ayurveda courses in India, you learn how to keep your organs healthy the Ayurvedic way.

5. Discipline and Mindfulness in Life

By implementing the Yamas and Niyamas written in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, you invite more discipline and mindfulness into your living. The five Yamas and Niyamas are the ethical codes of living a virtuous life.To honor these ethics during the span of life means – being mindful in every action, performing acts with compassion and living life in the present moment.
